Workshops

The afternoon will feature twice as many workshops as the first conference. This was the most popular part of the day for last years delegates and this year will be no exception. The committee has strived hard to bring you interactive workshops which will provide you skills for a lifetime. These are certainly not to be missed.
Workshop Description
Suturing The suturing workshop proved to be extremely popular last year which means it will return to BUDRC2016! This will b the perfect opportunity to get a taste of various suturing techniques and to practice your skills under the guidance of skilled professionals.
Restoration of the Anterior Tooth A practical demonstration session in which experienced tutors will show how to successfully and aesthetically restore anterior teeth. It will provide you with tips and skills you will use throughout dental school and as a future dentist.
BDS & Beyond This workshop will focus on various career pathways within Dentistry including details on Dental Core Training and how to specialise. The world of Dentistry is your oyster!
Oral Medicine Cases Learn how to structure oral medicine problems and work through a pathway. Hone your skills on how to recognise soft tissue lesions more effectively.
Hands-on Endodontics Workshop* This exclusive, double workshop will provide top tips by a specialist on how to carry out the perfect root canal treatment. Delegates who attend this workshop will take part in a practical session using portable equipment to apply the knowledge given by the tutor. This is truly a special opportunity to learn valuable tips from a specialist with hands-on application.
In addition to this, Optident will be there to give delegates the chance to try on loupes and see the full benefit that magnification has to offer.
Orthodontics Workshop Learn the best way to diagnose malocclusion and how to identify common orthodontic anomalies.
Getting Published Passionate about improving the world of Dentistry? Learn how to get involved in modern research and how to get your findings published.
Dental Photography Workshop An interactive workshop where you can learn the best techniques for taking clear clinical photographs. Photography is not taught at the undergraduate level so this would be a great workshop to attend to improve your dental photography skills. It isn't just point and shoot!
Please note that the workshops have limited spaces and we are unable to guarantee a ticket in your first choice. Delegates will take part in 4 workshops (3 if you select the endodontic workshop as it is a double session).
Tickets for the workshops will be distributed during morning registration and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis; so ensure you arrive early to not miss out!
