    CALLING ALL STUDENTS YEAR 1-3: 
    Heard about intercalation? Interested in research and getting more out of your time at university? Trying to boost your CV and standing out from the crowd?  
     
    Then the Dental Intercalation Information Session hosted by the Manchester Undergraduate Dental Research Society is perfect for you!

    WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
     
    ·      What is intercalation in dentistry and what subjects can I study
    ·      How does intercalation work and how is it funded 
    ·      Deadlines for the application to intercalate
    ·      Benefits of intercalating and is it for me
    ·      Speakers include Dr Rebecca Craven and Dr Sue Astley (the MMS lead for intercalated degrees) 
    ·      Student speakers who will share their experiences of intercalation and what they gained from it
    ·      A Q&A session for any queries you might have
    Intercalation is a great chance for you to stand out from the crowd but if you are not sure intercalation is for you, come along and find out for sure. Attending gives you a chance to fully consider your choices in order to make a well-informed decision.
    This event is free, refreshments and a certificate of attendance will be provided!

  • Wikipedia Collaboration Project Introduction

    The Wikipedia Project Collaboration is launching in Manchester Dental School! Open to all BDS and BSc students, this event will give you a background to the project and will cover all the training needed for you to be able to create and edit Wikipedia pages on common dental topics.

    The project will help you stay on top of advances in dentistry, learn analytical skills, is a great boost for your CV and a chance to become a referenceable author! Patients and the public will also benefit from accurate dental information being readily available.

    Key speakers include Professor Helen Worthington, co-ordinating editor of the international Cochrane Oral Health Group and Director of Evidence for Practice at Manchester Division of Dentistry. We are also delighted that our Dundee Dental School collaboration colleagues will also be joining to share their experiences, as well as more information on what you can expect from this new project.

    Refreshments will be provided!
