Building on the success of the previous three British Undergraduate Dental Research Conferences, with 300 attending students from 10 dental schools, the BUDRC was back for its fourth year running in 2019.
The BUDRC2019 was held on Saturday 16th of March at the University Place Building in Manchester.
The day began with talks on pioneering dental research by world-renowned dental professionals in subject areas that dental students get little exposure to. There was an interactive panel discussion featuring inspirational young dentists. Guests were then treated to a buffet lunch, whilst having the opportunity to visit sponsor stalls (and got their hands on lots of freebies!) and met with other students and staff. The afternoon offered students the chance to delve into more hands-on workshops than ever before. These interactive workshops span various fields of dentistry and include Hands-on Anterior Composite Build-ups, Dental Business and Hands-on Implants to name just a few! The day was rounded off with a charity raffle and winners left with big prizes!
